- Core Functionality: To process your prompts and generate AI responses.
- App Improvement: To analyze app performance and fix bugs.
- Personalized Advertising: If you explicitly opt-in via Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt, we may use device identifiers to serve you more relevant ads without increasing the total number of ads you see.
3. Third-Party AI Sub-Processors
Nelvio relies on advanced third-party AI models to generate responses. To function, the app must transmit your input data to these external providers.
- What is sent: Only the specific text prompts, questions, or images you enter into the chat.
- Who it is sent to: Your data is securely transmitted to our backend servers and subsequently to our AI partners, which include OpenRouter, OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google.
- Anonymization: Before any data is sent to third-party AI providers, it is processed through our servers where it is anonymized. We do not attach your name, email, phone number, or device ID to the prompts sent to the AI.
- No Model Training: We have strict agreements with our AI partners. They provide the same or equal protection of your data as we do. Your personal data and prompts are NOT used to train their foundational AI models. Data is only processed to fulfill your immediate request and is then discarded by the sub-processors according to their enterprise privacy standards.
We will always ask for your explicit consent within the app before transmitting any of your data to these third-party AI services for the first time.
4. Data Retention and Security
- Local Storage: Your chat history is primarily stored locally on your device so you can access your past conversations.
- Server Storage: We retain anonymized logs of requests on our servers only for a short period necessary for troubleshooting and ensuring service reliability, after which they are automatically deleted.
- Security: We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS) to protect your data during transmission between your device, our servers, and our AI partners.
